10/05/2017 - A Different Wolverine

"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." Francis of Assisi

Jesse Gobeli will lead "A Different Wolverine" with an estimated duration of 3 hours.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Alps trailhead.   We will head to the Middle Fork trail, then bushwhack to the ridge leading to Rusty Point.  We will follow the ridge to Wolverine, then drop down to the middle fork valley again and return.

Post Report

Three participants and one dog completed this exceptional epic and all agreed that it was worthy of the traditions of old led by such Lions as Rob DeVelice, Jeff Arndt, and Eliseo Marquez…the partakers persevered through drenching rain and heavy snow, thick brush and krummholz, substantial water crossings, steep scrambling ascents and steeper descents on rain slicked vegetation, routefinding with limited visibility, long stretches of trail running and numerous wildlife encounters.  The entire route was completed in 4.5 hours for an 11 p.m. finish.  Je-ne-sais-quoi my Epic Friends!
